Privacy Policy

BidBeside keeps estimate photos and the fields it reads from them on your iPhone. We do not run an account system, and we do not operate a server that receives your photos or quotes.

What stays on your device

When you take a photo or choose one from your library, BidBeside stores that image with the job on this iPhone. A quote can contain names, addresses, phone numbers, and prices. Those details stay in the app’s local storage until you delete the job or delete the app.

To read a photo, BidBeside uses Apple’s on-device model through Apple Intelligence. That processing happens on the iPhone. BidBeside does not send the photograph, the extracted fields, or a copy of your jobs to a server we operate.

What we do not collect

BidBeside does not ask you to sign in. It does not use analytics, advertising identifiers, crash reporters, or other tracking SDKs. It does not sync to iCloud or to any service we run. The camera and photo library are used only when you add an estimate. Deleting the app removes its local data from that device.

Reports you choose to send

If you tap “Report a problem” or “Contact Support”, BidBeside opens an email draft in your Mail app. Nothing is sent unless you press Send. A comparison report contains the job title, the shop names, totals, and the lines BidBeside read from each quote, plus the app and iOS version. Estimate photos are attached only if you choose to include them. You can edit or delete anything in the draft first. We use these emails only to answer you and to fix how the app reads and compares estimates, and we delete them when you ask.

Purchases

Optional unlock is a one-time In-App Purchase processed by Apple. Apple handles payment, receipts, and Restore Purchases. We do not receive your card details. Apple’s handling of that information is described in Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Children

BidBeside is a general utility. It is not directed at children, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
